Duo Klingeberg-Montes

The Guitar Duo KM was founded while Katrin Klingeberg and Sebastián Montes were both studying at the University of Music in Hanover and gave their debut in 2004 with the Concierto Madrigal by Joaquin Rodrigo. As students of the renowned Kaltchev Guitar Duo at the University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart they have completed their master‘s degrees as well as their concert exams in chamber music with distinction.
Even before graduating, Sebastián Montes was appointed professor at the Universidad Católica in Santiago de Chile. He has taught there since April 2012 and since then the two musicians live between Germany and Chile. In 2016 Katrin Klingeberg started teaching at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart. At the end of 2014 Katrin Klingeberg and Sebastián Montes took the artistic directorship of the Nuertingen International Guitar Festival.
After numerous first prizes in international competitions, the guitar duo Klingeberg-Montes is now one of the most popular duos in the international guitar scene.
