International Guitar Competition Nürtingen

(born after August 4, 1990)

  • Monday, August 4th, – 1st round from 9 am | Hochschule | duration 10 – 12 min. | free programme
  • Tuesday, August 5th, – 2nd round from 9 am | Hochschule | duration 18 – 20 min. | free programme
  • Final: Thursday, August 7th, – 4 pm | Kreuzkirche | duration 25 – 30 min. | free programme
  • Final with vote by the audience

Audience award: A concert at the next Nürtingen International Guitar Festival

The programme of the 1st round must be sent to km@gitarre-nuertingen.de until Friday, July 25th.
Pieces may not be repeated in any of the following rounds.
If the maximum playing time of one round is undercut or exceeded, deduction must be made.
The order of the performances is drawn.
A maximum of 14 participants will be admitted to the second round and a maximum of 4 participants for the final round.
All rounds will be held in public.
In the final, the audience votes on which finalist will receive the Audience Award.
An international jury decides. The jury’s decision is final.

Participation fee: 170 € | 105 € (competition only);
or 250 € | 140 € (concert tickets included)

Junior Competition

(born after August 6, 2007)

  • Wednesday, August 6th | from 10 am | Hochschule| duration 8 – 10 min. | free programme
  • Final: Thursday, August 7th | 11 am | Kreuzkirche | duration max. 18 min. | free programme

Prizes

  • 1st Prize:  500 € | Montoya-Guitar (value 3500 €)
  • 2nd Prize:  300 €
  • 3rd Prize:  200 €

Award-giving: Saturday, August 9th | 8 pm | town hall K3N (prizewinners are expected to participate )

Bambini Competition

(born after August 3, 2013)

  • The competition will be one round held on Sunday, 3. August 2023 from 9 am (Hochschule)
  • Playing time 4 – max. 8 minutes
  • All participants will receive a certificate
  • First prize Montoya-Guitar (value 1500 €)
  • All prize winners receive non-cash prizes
  • The awards will be given at 2:30 pm before the family-concert.
  • Participation fee: 60 € (the entry to the family concert is free for the participants of the Bambini-competition)
