Jonas Khalil
The Stuttgart concert guitarist Jonas Khalil studied in Karlsruhe, Darmstadt, Stuttgart and Salzburg. In 2016 he released his CD premiere with “Debut” on the hänssler CLASSIC label, on which the follow-up CD “Kharacter” was released in 2020. In addition to his solo concert activities, he is in demand as a chamber musician (including in various settings with musicians from the Stuttgart State Orchestra) and has regular engagements in the field of music theater, including at the Stuttgart State Opera.
Being the world’s first freelance musician, Jonas Khalil played at the 1:1 CONCERTS in May 2020 and has been a member of the 1:1 Team Stuttgart since 2021. Apart from that he has played in various bands since he was young and has been a member of the heavy metal band “SACRED STEEL” since 2005, with whom he performs throughout Europe. In 2023 he released a new solo CD with his own works for solo guitar, the debut EP of KHATAPULT, a homage to the music of the 80s, as well as a new Sacred Steel album. His current program “UNIKHAT” contains exclusively his own music. Shaped by the events of the last few years, the music sounds thoughtful, exhilarated, melancholic – then again wild and hopeful.
